After visiting with 4 yankee doctors....I finally found someone to deliver Graham!! Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I thought I had found "the one"...until we did a tour of the hospital. Not only did this place look like a mental institute, they informed us that during the "labor" part (you know, the screaming, pushing, etc), you will probably be in a room with 4 other girls. WHAT!? Are you crazy?? I had to bite my tongue not to say that outloud! Needless to say, I had my first "I hate New York" breakdown as we left the hospital. So, thank goodness for our Long Beach best friends (for soo many reasons), but thankfully Brooke found a pretty good doctor that delivers at a GREAT hospital (equivalent to ALL of the TX hospitals I've seen). Michael and I went on a tour of the hospital and it was beautiful! 24 suites, the other had 3 and all state of the art equipment. So, onto meet the doctor! Michael, Shannon and I piled in his office Monday afternoon to introduce our Texas selves. Don't you know this guy loved walking in seeing all 3 of us in there for my full examination! One of the previous doc's said that Graham would probably be 9 or 10 lbs.......if there were any doubt (of course there wasn't :)), but this is DEFINITELY Michael's baby! Wowza! So, needless to say, I mentioned C-Section, the doc said, "How about Sept. 7th or 8th?" Well that was easy! I'm still a little apprehensive about "planning" my childs arrival, but at this point it just makes sense. With us being so far away, we know family will be here, and we all know I like a good schedule, so having a specific date is right up my alley. You also know that I have a low pain tolerance. I think I have a rather high tolerance for pain, but my mom and Michael might say different. :) So, the thought of pushing a 10 lb baby out makes me want to vomit...so C-Section it is!!
Now the hard part.....picking his birthday. With Dwinna's (my aunt) birthday on the 7th, our anniversary the 8th, it's hard to nail down a date. So, I'm still thinking on that one........
