Shannon's NYC trip

I'm not sure why these pictures are so small, but if you click on them, you can see them better. We had such a great time with Shannon here! It was so nice to be able to enjoy our time with her without all the hustle and bustle of holidays or a short weekend in Wichita Falls. I have to say, I have the best mother in law there is, hands down. Shannon came in on Friday and left Monday. We headed into the city via train early Saturday morning to do a little NYC sightseeing. I'm thinking when Graham gets a little older, I should become a tour guide for the NYC tour buses. This is my second time on the tour and by the time my parents get here, I should be able to give the tour myself!! :) While in the city, we met up with Sue's (michaels sponsor mom from the Academy), son and his girlfriend. Adam lives and works in NYC and we had not seen him since he was in Texas for Wags 30th Birthday Bash. Lately, I judge a good day by how swollen my feet are. Let's just say....it was a REALLY good day!! Sunday, we had a very nice brunch at Ft. Hamilton. After that, we took a road trip to West Point Academy. None of us had ever been, so we thought we would see if it held a candle to the Naval Academy. Although it was really beautiful and has LOTS of history behind it, I'm still partial to Annapolis. There is something about the Naval Academy that I just love. Monday, Shannon took us on a shopping spree to Babies R Us and Sears (Michael "needs" tools), before heading to the baby doc. Graham says thank you Nana for all of the good stuff....especially the much needed newborn diapers!! We were sad to see her go Monday night, but it wasn't so bad because she will be back in less than a month for Graham's arrival. OH, and the pics of us on a dock are outside of our house. This is the canal that our house sits on and the boat belongs to the owner of the house. He recently gave us the keys to the Donzi and said take it out anytime!
